Cookie Policy
Last updated: [1st September 2026]
This Cookie Policy explains how (“Resourceful Thinking”, “we”, “our” or “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at www.resourcefulthinking.ch (the “Site”), what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control our use of them.
This Cookie Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, our Privacy Statement, available at www.resourcefulthinking.ch/privacypolicy , and our Terms of Use / Disclaimer, available at www.resourcefulthinking.ch/terms_of_Service Our Privacy Statement explains more broadly how we collect, use, and protect your personal data; this Cookie Policy focuses specifically on cookies and similar tracking technologies.
1. What Is a Cookie ?
A “cookie” is a small text file that is placed on your computer, smartphone, or other device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, work more efficiently, and to provide information to the owners of a website.
Cookies allow a website to recognise your device and remember information about your visit, such as your preferences or actions on the site, so that, when you return, the site can present a more tailored experience. Cookies may also be used to analyse traffic patterns and, in some cases, for marketing purposes.
Cookies are used by the vast majority of websites and, in themselves, do not damage your device or its software.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
By duration
• Session cookies: stored only for the duration of your visit and automatically deleted when you close your browser. They typically store an anonymous session identifier and do not, by themselves, collect personal data.
• Persistent cookies: remain on your device after you close your browser, until they expire or you delete them, and are read by the website that created them on your next visit. We use persistent cookies for analytics purposes (Google Analytics), for LinkedIn's Insight Tag, and for platform functionality provided by our website host, Squarespace.
By category
• Strictly necessary cookies: essential for the Site to function properly (for example, to remember your cookie consent preferences, or to enable basic navigation, load balancing, and security features). These are set by our website platform, Squarespace, cannot be switched off, as the Site cannot function properly without them, and do not collect information about you for marketing purposes.
• Performance / analytics cookies: allow us to monitor how visitors use the Site, for example, to count visits, identify traffic sources, and see which pages are most popular, so we can measure and improve the Site's performance. We currently use Google Analytics for this purpose.
• Functionality cookies: allow the Site to remember choices you make and to provide enhanced, more personalised features, including where you interact with a newsletter sign-up form.
• Marketing / targeting cookies: used to measure the effectiveness of our content and outreach on third-party platforms, and, where applicable, to help us and our partners deliver more relevant content. We currently use the LinkedIn Insight Tag for this purpose.
3. Cookies Used on This Site
The table below sets out the specific cookies currently used on the Site, based on the standard cookies published by our website platform and by our analytics and social media providers. Exact cookie names may vary slightly depending on updates made by these third-party providers from time to time.

Newsletter Sign-Up
If you subscribe to our newsletter, our email provider (on Substack, as applicable) may set cookies or use similar technologies to process your sign-up and measure engagement (such as email opens and clicks). Further detail is set out in our Privacy Statement.
Google Analytics, the LinkedIn Insight Tag, Squarespace, and our newsletter provider are based in, or process data in, the United States. Use of these cookies may result in personal data being transferred to, and processed in, the United States. Further detail on these transfers and the safeguards we apply is set out in our Privacy Statement.
4. Your Consent and How to Manage Cookies
When you first visit the Site, you will be shown a cookie consent banner that allows you to accept or reject non-essential cookies (including performance/analytics and marketing/targeting cookies) before they are set. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, as they are essential to the operation of the Site.
You can change or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time by returning to the cookie settings available via the link in the Site footer, or by clearing your cookie preferences and revisiting the Site so that the cookie banner is shown again.
You can also control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies from some or all websites. Please note that if you block or delete essential cookies, some parts of the Site may not function correctly or may not be accessible at all.
For general information about cookies, including how to manage or delete them across different browsers, please visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
5. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies and similar technologies we use, or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. We encourage you to review this Cookie Policy periodically.
